LARRY L. ALLEN

I am a seasoned Human Resources Executive, with technical skills that cover all of the Major HR Competency areas. Have successfully performed on an Enterprise Level within a broad range of environments, to include: For Profit and Not-for-Profit and Public and privately held Corporations. Significant exposure to the complexities associated with International working environments, expatriation and non-US compensation/benefits and staffing requirements. I possess very strong analytical, communications and decision making skills. I have provided direction to world-wide Staffs of up to 150 employees with budgets ranging upward of $20MM/annum.

KEY PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS/ROLES/ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Currently self-employed. President of Essex Energy Marketing LLC, as ManagingMember/Presidents since 2008. Prior to that, I held the position of President, CLA Mortgage Services – 2004 – 2008 Both roles were responsible for the P & L of these small business enterprises. ($500K - $1.00MM annual earnings). Have also performed the role of Executive Consultant for the CEO/President of T.D. Williamson Inc., Tulsa OK 2018 - 2020).

HR Director for the Company’s International Operations (Venezuela, Lithuania, Alaska). Also responsible for HR staffs located at two additional US Sites in Memphis and Baton Rouge, LA.

Director Planning and Operations for the Energy Group, with responsibility for Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Diversity, Strategic Staffing and performance management. These two roles covered the period 1999 through 2004

Amoco Corporation, Shared Services Sector, Chicago IL – Director Strategic Staffing, Succession Planning and Leadership Development. 9,000 employees, US, Canada and Europe. 1997 – 1999

LaMotte-Forbes Consulting, Chicago, IL – President/Equity Partner. Individual and Group Outplacement, Executive Development and Executive Search. Executive Search Practice included both Retained and Contingent searches principally in the Pharmaceutical industry and Human Resources function. My Outplacement practice focused on Health Care and Manufacturing. 1994 – 1997.

Soft Sheen Products, Chicago IL - $200MM Privately Held (Family Owned) manufacturer and distributor of Ethnic Health and Beauty Products. Vice President of Human Resources with overall responsibility for the function on a world-wide basis. 700 employees, with facilities in the US, Jamaica, Brazil, South Africa and the UK. Direct Staff of 21 employees and a budget of $5.0MM. 1987 – 1994.

Exxon Corporation, New York, New Jersey & Florida. Various Positions, to include:

Manager, Recruitment, EEO, and Manpower Planning, with responsibility for the world-wide oversight of recruitment, manpower planning and EEO compliance. 25 locations in 13 countries

Site HR Manager, Florham Park New Jersey whose responsibilities included all aspects of HR Administration to include labor relations, executive compensation, staffing, Employee Relations, Benefits Administration and Employee Development.

Overall responsibility for the HR function, reporting to the President of the Company. This was a major startup venture in a non-traditional Exxon business unit (Office Products). Grew organization from approximately 600 ee’s when I arrived to over 1800 prior to my departure to Exxon Chemical. 50 small offices nation-wide; revenues of just over $100MM (a big ”little” Company). Developed all functional capabilities such as executive compensation and salary administration, staffing, job evaluation (Hay), benefits, Training & Development.

Ford Motor Company, Cleveland Ohio and Dearborn Michigan 1970 – 1977

Labor Relations Advisor (Corporate Staff), Labor Relations Supervisor and Labor Relations Representative (Plant level assignments). Local and national negotiations experience. Plant level experience was within a multi-union environment (co-located CIO & AFL unions); 10,000 employee site with 3 separate plants at this location.

Personnel Analyst – Corporate Staff, Dearborn Michigan. Expatriate Administration (world-wide), campus recruitment, AAP preparation/EEO/Diversity. World-wide succession planning for the HR Function.

Organization Analyst – Dearborn Michigan. Job Evaluation, Position Ranking Company wide.
